Mr. Matsuda joined ACW as an independent agent on April 1, 2009.  Before joining ACW, Mr. Matsuda was an independent agent with John H. Connors Insurance.  Mr. Matsuda has 11 years of business and personal insurance and legal experience in Hawaii.  Prior to entering the insurance industry, Mr. Matsuda was a litigation attorney specializing in construction and employment law with the law firms, Bays Deaver Lung Rose and Holma and Alston Hunt Floyd and Ing.  As a commercial insurance agent, Mr. Matsuda’s  primary   account  mix  and   areas of   expertise

include contractors, security guard companies, restaurants and bars, non-profit organizations and professional liability clients (real estate agencies, insurance agencies, law firms, and design professional firms).  Mr. Matsuda also writes group medical plans and facilitates placements with professional employer organizations.

Mr. Matsuda received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1995.  He received his Doctorate of Law and Masters in Business Administration at Santa Clara University in 1999.
